Site Intergation

There should be a official safe site intergation script that can be found in the Admin section. It should have a login box snipplet that can be placed on the website, latest members/posts, and a member only page code.

  1. Nice, i have intergrated it to my site a lot, not just login boxes, but the stats etc. there are a few
    "Forum Clones" out there that will do this for you, and a lot work with mybb (they are universal.)
    I have not tried them myself but people usually say they are good.

  6. This is really necessary, it will get more people from your Website to join your Forum, making it more popular, but it's also necessary that you have the option of doing this using 2 domains because some people like me have a website for the Forum and one for the actual site.

  8. I'm with firefox on this the information is already available in the forums anyone who really needs this would look there anyway maybe a section in the wiki on customisation and site intergration is a better alternative.

    Then the wiki could be pushed more as the tool to start from then the forums.

    I also agree with ThePaul an API area would be good maybe in the plugins area but then i guess you could argue that it is up to the other script to support Mybb but it would benifit the Mybb community more.

  12. Today I finished off the final touches on a series of new plugins and a slew of (minor) updates to my older plugins. One of the new plugins is called 'Dynamic Header and Footer' and should appear in the 'Administration Panel' plugins list shortly. It allows an administrator to specify header and footer PHP includes *without* modifying any templates. The header and footer get injected at the right spots in the code to integrate it into an existing site. Then, any change to the site header/footer also affects MyBB instantly.

    The new plugin is obviously not quite what some people here are asking for, but for professional organizations looking to simply put a forum up on their site, the plugin I just built is critical.
