Facebook registration & login with settings available in ACP(admin control panel) i know there's already a plugin but it's not safe...

  1. On the one hand, ew, Facebook.

On the other hand, people use it, and while I would never use such a thing on my own forum I can see the use-case. In point of fact, a framework for building authentication-plugins would be really nice, and would allow one to create a more secure plugin for this much more easily, and be extensible to other networks (G+, Twitter, and Diaspora* come to mind), or even completely different authentication sources.

On the /other/ other hand, Facebook has such a history of massive privacy issues that implementing Facebook login-and-registration is arguably /inherently/ unsafe for the user.

    Giving this my vote anyway.

  2. I think this would be better as a plugin (along with twitter, openid and the like), but a plugin by MyBB Group that was officially supported. Rather like what simple-press have decided to do with V5; have the core forum software and then provide plugins that are very useful but wouldn't be used/needed by everyone and so aren't part of core to reduce the "excess".

Things like social logins, syntax highlighting, spell checking, calendar, privare messages etc. I would class as this category.

  3. The non stop Not so user friendly issues for my demographic is making me want to find a way to port to a different software, but if MyBB implements a facebook login feature then it would make my users lives much easier to use the site.
