CMS Bridge Integration or possible MYBB CMS

I would truly be very interested in a Joomla module / bridge. I think it would bring alot more users to MYBB as well. Many folks would drop SMF and or VBULLETIN in a heartbeat as MYBB is much better. I feel that Joomla and Drupal need to be focused on for mybb bridges.., so many sites use one of the two..., it truly would be smart to get the mainstream site owners to hop on to the MYBB bandwagon that way don't you think?! Also since Joomla is open source why not build a MYBB sponsored cms using the joomla core and mybb core? Such a package would be much sought after. And the GNU allows you to rebrand and change as you see fit. I am sure that the developers at MYBB could do a smashing job and create a true quality work of art. Also if Joomla is able to be bridged/integrated then Elxis cms and Mambo CMS could be possible for similar project as well. I just think that most people seem to want simple out of the box solutions..., if it is possible to be done.., why not offer such ease..., as a wise person once said...,

Mybb main problem now: lack of bridges.

MyBB can act as a primitive CMS right now using hooks.

It would be great to have myBB as a component or as a module for Joomla.
I've "googled" for a joomla/myBB bridge and found hundreds of posts in different forums.
We are not alone ;-) Let's vote for it - let's do it !! -

Yes, I also support to develop a bridge for Joomla :for both Joomla! 1.0.x and 1.5 versions.
If some one finish this bridge, I will contribute to translate the bridge and MyBB into Chinese.
Thanks.

The use of items like Joomla are growing and I am very surprised to not see a bridge for mybb/joomla. I will continue to search in hopes that I find one. I do not want people to have to login to my site and then also into the forums. I feel that if there is only one sign-up / sign-in then my forums would get a lot more use.

I am searching everywhere for such a bridge, but nowhere i can find.
In every regional MYBB-Forums like
- mybboard.de (Germany)
- mybbdestek.gen.tr (Turkey)
you search for "Joomla" in MyBB-integrated search function, and everyone wants such a bridge, but there is noone making such a bridge.
Really disappointing. -

I personally am not a big fan of content management systems, but many people, especially those who have little or no Web developing experience (and those who at least don't have experience in the server-side) very ofte use CMS's. I have found that MyBB's bridging software is more limited than some of the more mainstream PHP/MySQL forum applications. I like the focus on making MyBB unique and superior (in other words, prioritize the release of MyBB 1.4 over all else), but I think you'll draw more users to migrate to MyBB if you allow them to merge their boards with major CMS's. Joomla, e107, Mambo, phpNuke, and a lot of other CMS's are very mainstream for people who have recently ditched their MySpace and FaceBook and LiveJournal blogs for something more customizable. phpBB, vBulletin, and SMF all have pretty good bridging support, but MyBB's is mostly mediocre, in my opinion.
Wow, long comment!

A Joomla-Mybb 1.4 bridge would be absolutely awesome! It would be great for mybb, it would become a lot more popular and I know I am very interested in it and so will a lot of other web developers.

@lupus6x9, 2nd: "those who have little or no Web developing experience (and those who at least don't have experience in the server-side) very ofte use CMS's"
Excuse me, this is nonsense. I created first webpages in 1994/95 with beta of Mosaic. Today, I use CMS only! Webdesign has reached generation 3: I) HTML "coding", II) HTML Editors, III) CMS. Why invent the wheel for each site again, CMS provide a lot of useful features (scheduled pages, modules, editors, relational content).
Thus, a bridge that integrated a CMS like Joomla or Typo3 and myBB would be perfect - I'd almost say it's a bit overdue.
